The Danube Marathon returns in 2023, at the beginning of May. We start from the Tineretului Park area in the city of Giurgiu (Stadium / Steaua Dunarii Hotel Area) and we make our way along the north bank of the Danube, on an adventure that aims to reconnect us with the unique relief of this area, composed of floodplain forests, islands, and wild vine curtains.

Race kits can be picked up on Thursday (May 4th) from the KAUFLAND Barbu Vacarescu store between 12:00-20:00. ONLY participants residing outside Bucharest have the option to pick up their race kits directly from the starting area, on the day of the race.

The route will be finalized, cleaned and marked, one day before the event. The route marking will be communicated through the Participation Guide, which will be launched during the week of the contest.
The Short Route is intended for children under the age of 13 or riders who are new to MTB racing, who are not yet well enough prepared to complete the Standard route. All participants will cover the route only once. The following competitive MTB races are available for registration:
 

KIDS RACES

- Level 4 | Male for age cat. 5-7, 8-10 and 11-13 years

- Level 4 | Female for age cat. 5-7, 8-10 and 11-13 years

AMATORI
 
- Level 4 | Men's OPEN race
- Level 4 | Women's OPEN race
